Under the Creative Vortex, we use what we do in sign work to create community based projects designed to bring people together and show them the power they have when they tap into their own creativity.

Back in April, I did a TEDx talk about this at the Wellington C. Mepham High School in Bellmore NY. The organizers asked us to do a work shop based on the theme of “here”. So I came up with the idea of building a giant cell phone that would have a screen that the crowd for the event could paint. We set up exterior lite boxes around the phone that said “YOU ARE HERE” with the navigation icon over them.

We designed the screen of the phone to be removable so that the painting the crowd did could be removed and donated to the school.

This is part of what we do that is living the dream!
